Some breeds of pet cats even like to swim (gasp!). In 2017, there were seven new breeds of fish discovered, one of which was the Mariana Trench dwelling Pseudoliparis Swirei (or Snailfish of the Deep for us land lovers). Common folks might think that surfing is just one leisurely way to while away time on the beach, but it’s also a competitive sport with scheduled worldwide competitions. Vampyroteuthis infernalis describes what one might think if they run into one of these! Do you think you know your way around the floor of an ocean, river, or lake? This animal lives in the depths of the ocean, along deep-sea canyon walls. The Greenland shark (Somniosus microcephalus) aka the “Methuselah” of sharks, has the longest lifespan of any vertebrate animal in the world. Only recently, in 2017, humans were able to take footage of a megamouth shark swimming in deep ocean waters off of Indonesia.

The scientific name for this shark is Hexanchus griseus. Chiasmodon niger is this creature’s scientific name. They were also given the name ‘rattail’, due to its rat like appearance and long, bare tail! This worm is also known by the name ‘bomber worm,’ due to the bombs it drops when it feels threatened. It’s a free-swimmer and a member of the worm family. Can you handle the heat like the Pompeii worm can? Scientists have deemed this creature as the most heat tolerant on Earth! This fish may be small, but it sure does have big teeth! The Siamese Fighting Fish has been bred for its incredible variety of colors and long, flowing finnage. This pinkish fish lives in the waters of eastern Australia. Male chimaeras have something most other fish do not; organs on its pelvic fins and forehead that are used for mating. They live alone, except for when mating. Therefore, taking an autistic child to a pool and getting on with the swimming lessons – all in one go – is never a good idea. The biggest disadvantage to toddler swimming lessons is that, afterward, parents believe the child is water-safe and don’t watch her as carefully as they might if she had not had lessons.

If the argument said “all growling dogs bite,” then it might be valid. Unfortunately, today I can no longer remember whether I turned on my TV and was suddenly greeted by the appearance of this show on its screen, or if I had been watching another channel and then decided where to buy goggles change it to Cartoon Network, which happened to be airing Xavier: Renegade Angel at that particular moment; regardless, I can at least recall, with certainty, that I stumbled upon it late at night, during the middle of an episode. The resulting acidity causes the hemoglobin of the blood to lose its oxygen (Root effect) which then diffuses partly into the swim bladder. But does is this competing demand for blood what causes cramps? If you plan to purchase every one of these frill for solace, you will have an exceptionally happy with swimming knowledge yet it will make a vast opening in your pocket as well. Our instructors are committed to delivering swimming lessons in Singapore with outstanding value and consistent results, enabled by a team with a passion for people and learning. The relays help to improve one’s swimming skills. The giant isopod is in the pill bug family, and one of these water-lovers was found at up to 2.5 feet long!

But did you know that it is especially found in the bays of Tosa, Sagami, and Suruga? Did you know there are over a thousand different types of these creatures? How can these creatures survive at over 30,000 feet below? The Tiburonia granrojo, or big red jellyfish, is a recent addition to the list of ocean-floor creatures. Wolverines grow to about the size of a cocker spaniel, but they are one of the most ferocious carnivores found in Canada and Alaska! Get ready to have your mind blown: the largest one found by humans was nearly 60 feet long and weighed one ton. They migrate thousands of miles annually and are found in warm waters all over the world. Named for the blue rings all over its body, the blue-ringed octopus can be found on the bottom of the ocean floor, in shallow waters. The bottom and top of the boots are a violet color with the front of her soles being split up. Lucky for the stargazer fish; its eyes are placed on top of its head! Have you ever wished you had eyes on top of your head, so you could stargaze without a sore neck? On top of which, this creature has earned the title of deepest living fish, with almost 8,000 meters beneath the surface being the number to beat to steal the title.
